Ski Videos

Found many videos on the Flip video camera that Curt has been using. Here are 2 that I enjoyed from our recent ski trip. I love the 2nd one of all of us talking about Mia's recent silver medal. The blond little girl is 6 year old Keira (aka Mia's BFF) who now lives in Tampa, Florida.

New Year's Eve 2009

Just a couple of shots that I really like from our New Year's Eve in Schladming!

Mia and Ali with their BFF, Keira (back in Budapest from Tampa). Keira's mom, Kerry, bought them all matching Happy New Year shirts. The hotel had an entire kids' area set up for New Years. They had their own dining room, lots of games, arts and crafts, music, karaoke. They had the best New Year's Eve ever (not many to compare it to yet)! At one point they all arrived in the formal dining room where the adults were and all 3 of them were drinking Coke! My girls are not used to caffeine or soda and were so wired! It was scary and funny at the same time. Ali keeps reminiscing about New Year's as 'the night I drank Coke!'
By the way, they all have January birthdays and will be the following ages this month:
Mia: 7 Keira: 6 Ali: 4

Below - the newest generation. What will their verbal skills be like when they are so into modern technology?

Terence with his favorite person, Riley McGann (13), in the whole world. Riley is Keira's big brother and T's known him since he was 1 day old!

On a 2 Horse Open Sleigh

One of the highlights of our ski trip to Austria was on New Year's Day (Jan 1), we went on a horse drawn sleigh through the village and country side of the Schladming Dachstein area where we were staying. It was a one hour ride and just beautiful. It started snowing on the morning of the 1st so it felt extra special to be riding with the big snow flakes coming down on us. We weren't too cold as the sleigh had big wool blankets for us to cover ourselves with. Plus, our driver gave us some schnapps to help warm up our insides.

Waiting for our sleigh

Loading up

T and Curt rode up front with our sleigh driver while Curt's parents and sister, Lisa, were in the middle. I was in the back with the girls.

Ali actually fell asleep while sitting upright. We laughed as she fell asleep on the sleigh last year too. It must be a relaxing rocking feel for her.

Next up our my scenery shots.

Tall trees in the forest.

And below a tiny tree amongst all the huge ones. It reminded me of the Charlie Brown Christmas tree so I had to capture a shot of it.
