Here's a conversation Mia and I had yesterday evening about our upcoming trip to Meribel, France...

Talking in Her Sleep
Both our girls talk in their sleep all the time. Curt says I do too. Not sure if that's a hereditary trait but it is very amusing. I've often heard Mia speaking Hungarian in her sleep. I've yet to capture her on video but this evening, I managed to get Ali talking (more like mumbling) in her sleep. I've slept with her a few times and she makes a lot of noise - not just talking but grunting, moaning and lots and lots of kicking...
I can't figure out what she is saying in this video or even which language she is speaking in but it is entertaining.

Peace Dude!
Mia's Carnival theme was a hippie! Here she is in her outfit - trying it on last night. She chickened out on the wig and wore everything but the wig (a bit too disco) at school today for their 2 hour Carnival party. I thought she looks super groovy!!! She's diggin' her new style...
PS Unfortunately I didn't get any of Terence in his Pirate gear...
Ali Doing the Charleston Dance!!!
Today was Carnival (think Halloween) at the French school. You've already seen Ali's Charleston flapper costume and for an added surprise, parents were invited today to enjoy a bit of the celebration with them. It was wonderful! Honestly, I went in there with very low expectations but Ali's teacher choreographed an entire dance routine with all the kids. They were spectacular, enthusiastic and all so happy! Seriously!! I was so bummed my real camera didn't work so I only managed to capture part of the show with my Blackberry. Not very good quality but I hope you can somewhat see. She's the 2nd one from me.
They split the class in 2 groups, then they joined together where each boy partnered with a girl. Ali was so confident in her dancing and did an incredible job. Honestly, she led the boy, put his arm on her shoulder then held his other hand. She didn't have to look around to copy anyone on the steps. She knew them! I've honestly never seen her like this. She's always been my little, shy one who seemed to lack the confidence to do something like this. It was incredible. She looked amazing!! I'll have to ask around and see if anyone got a better video that I can copy as I want to see her do this over and over and over again! It was so fun. All the parents were gushing and so impressed. We are so lucky that Ali ended up with such a fantastically caring, creative teacher!! If my camera had been working I would have snapped a photo of Ali with Isabelle, her teacher, as she looked great too in her sparkly flapper dress.

Ali's Carnival Costume!
I found the costume theme chosen by Ali's Petite Section / Moyenne Section class at the French school rather odd. This year the entire school's theme is styles through out history. So, she got 1920s Charleston. I was a little worried about what to do for her but quickly worked it out. We borrowed the dress from a friend (it's purple and works well), I had the headpiece, the giant feather is from Mia's recent birthday cake, the fake pearls are from a costume I wore once and the gloves are from one of her Cinderella costumes.
With her short hair, I thought she looked perfect!!! Tomorrow is the Carnival party. By the way, Mia's class has the Hippie Theme (easy peasy) and T's class has Pirates. Since T isn't so excited about the idea of dressing up (they go through a stage at his age about being too cool for things), he may just wear an eye patch.
In the meantime, enjoy our little Flapper - Ali Cat!!!

Ski Videos
Found many videos on the Flip video camera that Curt has been using. Here are 2 that I enjoyed from our recent ski trip. I love the 2nd one of all of us talking about Mia's recent silver medal. The blond little girl is 6 year old Keira (aka Mia's BFF) who now lives in Tampa, Florida.
